Coach Turnage, "I was pleased with our team's effort in this
shoot. Our "Triple A" squad placed 5th overall in both divisions
and our "Double A" squad placed 7th overall. There were 32 complete
squads in this championship from across Arkansas, 20 of these squads
were in the senior division. Shooting in this State Championship
(SCTP) has qualified our teams (AAA & AA) to compete for the SCTP
National Championship at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex
(WSRC) in Sparta, Illinois on August 6-7, 2007. This will be the
first year for Arkansas to have a team to shoot for their state
at the WSRC in Sparta. This will be for the SCTP National Championship.
The discipline of Trap 200 16 yard targets will be shot. I am proud
of our parents, sponsors, and kids for the dedication it takes to
get to this level in such a short period of time. This is an honor
for our kids to represent Arkansas as well as Harrisburg at the
National level."
